Social Media users criticize the photo showing the Saudi Crown Prince extending condolences to Khashoggi’s son.

Twitter users swung into action swiftly to criticize the photo released by Saudi government showing slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s son meeting and shaking hand of Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

King Salman and crown prince received Khashoggi’s son, Saleh at the royal palace in Riyadh, where both the leaders extended their condolences.

Saudi Arabia faced global outrage after the Jamal Khashoggi’s death in Saudi embassy in Istanbul, Turkey.

It is believed that Khashoggi entered the Saudi embassy in Istanbul on October 2 however never came out.

Since then the royal family of Saudi Arabia has denied any wrongdoing in the murder of the Washington Post writer.

Saudi government has also not been able to provide able to provide conclusive stand on the case; Saudis made excuses first, then accepted that the writer died in a fistfight and now comes the admission that his murder was premediated.

Journalists across the world have condemned the use of meeting as a photo-op; they have come close to label the crown prince as a tyrant.

Al-Jazeera’s anchor and show presenter, Kamal Santamaria tweeted the photo criticizing the Saudi government.

Saudi Arabia also faced backlash at recently concluded, Future Investment Summit in Riyadh where it tried to expand business opportunities of an oil dependent economy.
